比丘（梵語不正也應云苾蒭此云怖魔一乞士二淨命三淨戒四破惡五也具此五義故存梵語不譯也）。

Monk (比丘: an imprecise Sanskrit form; it should be *bhikṣu*; translated here as 'frightener of Māra' [first], 'mendicant' [second], 'pure livelihood' [third], 'pure precepts' [fourth], and 'destroyer of evil' [fifth]; because it possesses these five meanings, the Sanskrit term is retained and not translated).
