Powdering and kneading (粉捏: the first [character] is *fen*, fanqie 芳刎; rice flour. The Bowu zhi says: 'King Zhou roasted lead to make cosmetic white powder.' The second [character] is *nie*, fanqie 奴結. Character dictionaries say: 'To press and knead with the hands.' Derived from the hand radical 手 with 圼 as phonetic; 圼 has the same pronunciation as above).
