怯弱（上去劫反切韻怯怕也字林云懼也從心去弱聲也下而斫反顧野王云弱尫也韻英云劣也從弜氺省弜音強氺音別）。

Timid and weak (怯弱: the first [character] is *qie*, fanqie 去劫. The Qieyun says: '怯 means afraid.' The Zilin says: 'Fearful.' Derived from the heart radical 心 with 去 as phonetic. The second [character] is *ruo*, fanqie 而斫. Gu Yewang says: '弱 means emaciated and crippled.' The Yunying says: 'Inferior.' Derived from 弜 with an abbreviated 氺; 弜 is pronounced *qiang*; 氺 is pronounced *bie*).
