殃咎（上於良反玉篇云禍惡也韻英云凶也亦咎也從歹央聲歹音五達反央音同上下其夕反爾雅曰咎病也切韻愆惡也說文從人各謂人各心相違即咎生也經文從一點作咎或從卜作咎皆誤書也）。

殃咎 (The first character has the fanqie yu + liang; the Yupian says: “Disaster and evil.” The Yunying says: “Inauspicious; also fault.” It is composed of the radical 歹 with yang as phonetic. 歹 has the fanqie wu + da; yang has the same sound as above. The second character has the fanqie qi + xi; the Erya says: “Jiu means illness.” The Qieyun says: “Transgression and evil.” The Shuowen says: “Composed of ren (‘person’) and ge (‘each’), meaning that when each person’s mind opposes another, fault arises.” In the scripture text it is written with a single dot as 咎 or with the radical bu as 咎; both are erroneous writings.)
