太白（五星傍通祕訣云太白西方金之精一名長庚徑一百里其色白而光明也將軍之像出入循軌伏見以時將軍有功與熒惑合有兵其行一年一周天去日不過五十度）。

太白 (The Wuxing bangtong mijue says: “Venus (Taibai) is the essence of Metal in the west. Another name is Chang-geng. Its diameter is one hundred li; its color is white and luminous. It is the image of a general. Its ascents and descents follow its regular orbit, disappearing and appearing according to season. If the general has merit, or when it conjoins with Mars (Yinghuo), there will be warfare. Its motion completes one circuit of heaven in one year; its distance from the sun does not exceed fifty degrees.”)
