Dense weeds ([卄/臻]草: the first character has the fanqie *sh- / zh-*, dictionaries say: "Trees growing thickly"; the Kaosheng says: "Grasses and trees growing mixed together; derived from cao 草 with zhen 臻 as phonetic"; the sūtra text mistakenly writes it with mu 木 as zhen 榛, which is pronounced zhen and resembles a small chestnut, not fitting the meaning of tangled grass).
