泫然（上玄絹反韻詮云泫泣皃又露光也說文從水玄聲下然語詞也字從肉犬逐之下灬以然之灬音必搖反）。

Tearful (泫然: the first character has the fanqie *x- / j-*, the Yunquan says: "Xuan (泫) is the appearance of weeping; also the glistening of dew"; the Shuowen says: "Derived from water with xuan 玄 as phonetic"; the second character, ran 然, is a grammatical particle; the character is derived from rou 肉 (meat) and quan 犬 (dog) pursued by [a hand], with huo 灬 below to roast it; 灬 has the fanqie *b- / y-*).
