熙怡（上許其反切韻熙和也廣也詩曰學有緝熈於光明爾雅云緝熙熲光也下與之反玉篇云和也悅也爾雅云怡懌悅欣樂也上熙字說文從灬巳臣聲經文作凞或作熙皆非下怡從心台聲台音同上）。

Delighted and serene (熙怡: the first character has the fanqie *x- / q-*, the Qieyun says: "Xi (熙) means harmonious; also broad"; the Shijing says: "Learning with continuous bright harmony (qixi 緝熈) unto bright light"; the Erya says: "Qixi means radiant light"; the second character has the fanqie *y- / zh-*, the Yupian says: "Harmonious and joyful"; the Erya says: "Yi (怡) means joyful and happy"; for the upper character xi, the Shuowen derives it from huo 灬 with yi 巳 and chen 臣 as phonetics; the sūtra text writes it as 凞 or 熙, which are both incorrect; the lower character yi is derived from xin 心 with tai 台 as phonetic; tai has the sound above).
