竦慄（上息拱反爾雅曰竦懼也詩云不戁不竦下力質反考聲戰懼也詩云惴惴其慓說文云從心票聲也）。

竦慄 (The upper character is pronounced with the fanqie xi + gong. The Erya says: "竦 means fear." The Shijing says: "Neither fearful nor terrified [不戁不竦]." The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie li + zhi. The Kaosheng says: "Trembling with fright." The Shijing says: "Trembling in dread [惴惴其慓]." The Shuowen says: "Classified under 'heart' [心], with 票 as phonetic").
