涕泣（上他禮反韻集云目汁也古今正字從水弟聲也下去急反切韻哭泣也集訓云無聲出涕曰泣也）。

涕泣 (The upper character is pronounced with the fanqie ta + li. The Yunji says: "Fluid of the eyes." The Gujin zhengzi has it classified under 'water' [水], with 弟 as phonetic. The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie qu + ji. The Qieyun says: "To weep and sob." The Jixun says: "To shed tears without making sound is called 泣").
