險詖（上香撿反說文云阻難也從阜僉聲下彼義反切韻佞也說文云險詖也從言彼省聲也）。

險詖 [Treacherous and flatteringly devious]: The upper [character] has the fanqie 香撿 (xiāng + jiǎn = xiǎn); the Shuowen says, “Obstructed and difficult; it derives from 阜 with the phonetic 僉.” The lower [character] has the fanqie 彼義 (bǐ + yì = bì); the Qieyun says, “Flattering.” The Shuowen says, “險詖; it derives from 言 with the abbreviated phonetic 彼.”
