菖蒲（上尺良反下薄胡反切韻菖蒲草名似蘭可以為席也本草云菖蒲藥名八月採根百節者為良也蘭音良刃反）。

菖蒲 (the first character is ch[ǐ] + li[áng] fanqie; the second is b[ó] + h[ú] fanqie; the Qieyun says: "Acorus calamus is the name of a plant; it resembles the orchid and can be made into mats." The Bencao says: "Acorus calamus is a medicinal name; gather the root in the eighth month, and those with a hundred nodes are the best." Orchid is pronounced l[iáng] + r[èn] fanqie).
