撈出（上魯刀反玉篇云取也字林云撈摸取物也從手勞聲律文從水作澇音郎到反非撈出義下尺律反切韻進也遠也說文云出字從古文出字像四出之形律文從二山作出誤書也）。

Lāochū (scoop out / pull out) (the first character has the fanqie lǔ + dāo. The Yupian says: "To take." The Zilin says: "To grope and fetch an object." Formed with the "hand" radical and láo phonetic. The Vinaya text writes it with the "water" radical as 澇, pronounced láng + dào, which does not have the meaning of scooped out. The second character has the fanqie chǐ + lǜ. The Qieyun says: "To advance; to go far." The Shuowen jiezi says: "The character chū derives from the ancient character chū, depicting spreading out on four sides." The Vinaya text writes it with two "mountain" characters as 出, which is a scribal error).
