Piercing a vessel (穿舶: the first character is [pronounced with the] fanqie [initial and final of] 昌 and 緣; the Qieyun says it means to pass through; the Yunji says to puncture and break; the Yupian says to leak. The second character is pronounced 'bái'; the Kaosheng says it is a large ship on the ocean; it takes the 'boat' radical and the phonetic 'bái').
