嗢鉢羅（上溫骨反舊云漚鉢羅或云優鉢羅亦云烏鉢羅皆梵語輕重也此云青蓮花其花青色葉細陿長香氣遠聞人間罕有唯大無熱惱池中有此蓮花也）。

Utpala (嗢鉢羅: the first character is [pronounced] 溫骨 [wēn]; formerly written as 漚鉢羅, or 優鉢羅, or 烏鉢羅; these are all differences in Sanskrit articulation. Here it is translated as 'blue lotus flower'. Its flower is blue, its petals slender and long, its fragrance smelt from afar, and it is rare in the human world; only in the great Lake Anavatapta are there lotus flowers of this kind).
