惡鴟（下處脂反爾雅云怪鴟也郭注云即鴟鵂也今江東通呼怪鳥又曰梟鴟注云即土梟也或作𩿍俗字也律文作鵄非也）。

Noxious owl (惡鴟: the second character is [pronounced] 處脂 [chī]; the Erya says: "A monstrous owl." Guo's commentary says: "It is the chīxiū (horned owl). Nowadays east of the Yangtze River they generally call it a monstrous bird, also called xiāochī"; the commentary says: "It is the burrowing owl." It is also written as 𩿍, a popular form. In the Vinaya text it is written as 鵄, which is incorrect).
