疆界（上居良反爾雅云疆界邊衛圍垂也郭注云疆場境界邊旁守衛皆在外垂也說文云疆從土彊聲也界從田介像分界之形律文作彊正體強字非也）。

疆界 (The upper character is [pronounced] 居 + 良 with fanqie. The Erya says: 'Jiāngjiè means border, defense, surrounding boundary.' Guo's commentary says: 'Borderlands and territories, boundaries and guarding outposts are all on the outer rim.' The Shuowen says: '疆 is formed with 土 ("earth") and 彊 phonetically. 界 is formed with 田 ("field") and 介, depicting the shape of dividing boundaries.' In the vinaya text it is written as 彊, which is the standard form of the character 強 and is incorrect).
