窺覘（上去規反玉篇小視說文云從穴規聲也字書又作闚同下丑占反切韻云窺也玉篇云公侯之信伺也又音勑艷反也）。

窺覘 (Peeping and spying: for the first character, fanqie 去規 [kuī], the Yupian says: 'To look slightly.' The Shuowen says: 'Formed from 穴 with 規 phonetic.' The character book also writes 闚, which is identical. For the second character, fanqie 丑占 [chān], the Qieyun says: 'To peep.' The Yupian says: 'Dukes and nobles spying for information.' It is also pronounced with the fanqie 勑艷 [chàn].)
