瓦鍋（上五寡反又作凡像瓦之形下古和反字書云鐵器也說文作[田/(岡-山+?)]云釜有足有喙以土為之也又作堝切韻云甘堝也今作鍋或云溫器也）。

瓦鍋 (Earthen pot: for the first character, fanqie 五寡 [wǎ]; also written 凡, depicting the shape of a tile. For the second character, fanqie 古和 [guō], the character book says: 'An iron utensil.' The Shuowen writes [田/(岡-山+?)] and says: 'A caldron with legs and a spout, made of clay.' It is also written 堝. The Qieyun says: 'A sweet crucible.' Now written 鍋, or said to be a vessel for warming.)
