禦捍（上魚舉反切韻禁也止也考聲云應當也爾雅云禦圉禁也郭注云禁制也圉音語下胡肝反玉篇云抵捍也旰古案反）。

禦捍 (The first character has the fanqie 魚舉 [yǔ]. The Qieyun states: 'To forbid; to halt.' The Kaosheng states: 'To respond to and ward off.' The Erya states: '禦 and 圉 mean to forbid.' Guo's commentary states: 'To restrain and control; 圉 has the sound 語 [yǔ].' The second character has the fanqie 胡肝 [hàn]. The Yupian states: 'To resist and fend off.' 旰 has the fanqie 古案 [gàn].).
