敗績（上蒲邁反廣韻云自破曰敗也爾雅云圮敗覆也郭注云謂毀覆也從文貝聲下子曆反爾雅云績功勳也郭注云謂功勞也字書積業也成也說文作績字）。

敗績 (The first character has the fanqie 蒲邁 [bài]. The Guangyun states: 'Self-destruction is called bài.' The Erya states: 'Qǐ means bài, to overturn.' Guo's commentary states: 'Meaning to destroy and overturn; derived from 攵 with 貝 as phonetic.' The second character has the fanqie 子曆 [jì]. The Erya states: '績 means merit and achievement.' Guo's commentary states: 'Meaning meritorious labor.' The Zishu states: 'Accumulated accomplishment; completion.' The Shuowen writes it as the character 績.).
