Couches and mats (榻席: the upper character has the fanqie 吐盍; the Shuowen jiezi says it means a bed or couch [chuangta]; also written as 㒆, identical character; the lower character has the fanqie 样石, meaning woven mats; the Da Dai Liji says that when King Wu took the throne, there was an inscription for mats; the Shijing says, "My mind is not a mat; it cannot be rolled up"; the Shuowen jiezi says it is derived from 巾 with [度-又] as phonetic; [度-又] is pronounced 疾; writing it as 蓆 is incorrect).
