White crane (白鸖: the lower character has the fanqie 下各; the Shuowen jiezi says it resembles a swan goose with a long beak; the character is derived with 霍 as phonetic; the Zuozhuan states that Duke Yi of Wei was fond of cranes, and had cranes that rode in carriages; 霍 has the same pronunciation; it was already fully explained above).
