洟唾（上他計反切韻云鼻洟也說文云鼻液也從水夷聲也律文從弟作涕音他禮反說文云目汁也非洟唾義下託臥反說文云口液也禮記曰讓食不唾說文云從口埵省聲）。

洟唾 (The upper character is 他 + 計 with fanqie. The Qieyun says: 'Nasal mucus.' The Shuowen says: 'Fluid from the nose; formed with 水 ("water") and 夷 phonetically.' The vinaya text writes it with 弟 as 涕, pronounced 他 + 禮 with fanqie; the Shuowen says: 'Tears from the eyes,' which is not the meaning of 洟唾. The lower character is 託 + 臥 with fanqie. The Shuowen says: 'Fluid from the mouth.' The Liji says: 'When sharing food, do not spit.' The Shuowen says: 'Formed with 口 ("mouth") and 埵 abbreviated phonetically').
