窗牖（上楚雙反釋名云窗聰也於內視外聰明也說文云在屋曰窗下與久反說文云穿壁以木為交悤也禮記云儒有蓬戶甕牖說文云從片戶甫聲）。

窗牖 (Windows: for the first character, fanqie 楚雙 [chuāng], the Shiming says: 'A window is called clever (聰); looking from inside out, one sees clearly and brightly.' The Shuowen says: 'In a house it is called a 窗.' For the second character, fanqie 與久 [yǒu], the Shuowen says: 'Piercing a wall and using wood to make a latticed window.' The Liji says: 'The scholar has an overgrown doorway and a window framed with a broken jar.' The Shuowen says: 'Formed from 片, 戶, and 甫 phonetic.')
