捫摸 (The first character is pronounced with the fanqie *m-*, [men], from 沒 and 奔. The commentary to the *Mao Shi* states: 'It means to hold.' The *Shenglei* states: '捫 also means to feel/grope (摸).' The *Shuowen* states: 'It takes 手 [hand] as semantic and 門 as phonetic.' The second character is pronounced with the fanqie *m-*, [mo], from 𢗅 and 博. The *Fangyan* states: '摸𢱢 means to caress or stroke.' The *Shuowen* has it taking 手 as semantic and 莫 as phonetic; it is a phono-semantic character.)
