【闍那崛多】此言志德。北印度人，剎帝利種。少懷達量，長垂清範，遊涉行化，來達茲境。周武帝世，譯《普門》重頌。
[Jñānagupta] This means "Will-Virtue" (Zhide). A native of Northern India, of the kṣatriya caste. In youth he possessed a far-reaching capacity; in maturity he maintained a pure model. Traveling and teaching, he arrived in this realm. In the reign of Emperor Wu of the Northern Zhou, he translated the verses of the "Universal Gateway".
