【波羅頗迦羅】唐言作明知識，或云波頗，此云智光。中印度人，剎帝利種。識度通敏，器宇沖邃，博窮內外，研精大小。誓傳法化，不憚艱危，遠涉葱河，貞觀屆此。

[Prabhākaramitra] In the language of the Tang: "Making Bright the Spiritual Companion" (Zuoming Zhishi); also called Pofo, which means "Light of Wisdom" (Zhiguang). A native of Central India, of the kṣatriya caste. His discernment and capacity were penetrating and acute, his bearing profound and deep; he fully investigated both inner and outer [learning], and refined his study of both the Great and the Small [Vehicles]. Having vowed to transmit the transformation of the Dharma without fearing hardships and perils, he crossed the Onion Ranges far away, arriving here in the Zhenguan era.
