【鐸曷攞】《寄歸傳》云：「唐言小師。」《毘柰耶》云：「難陀比丘，呼十夏比丘為小師。」如僧叡謂僧導云：「君當為萬人法主，豈可對揚小師乎？」

[Dahara] The Jigui zhuan says: "In the language of Tang, called 'junior master' (xiaoshi)." The Vinaya says: "The bhikṣu Nanda addressed a bhikṣu of ten summer retreats as 'junior master'." As when Sengrui said to Sengdao: "You should be a Dharma master for myriad people; how could you match words with a junior master?"
