【薜茘多】應法師云：「正言閉麗多，此云祖父鬼。或言餓鬼，餓鬼劣者。」《孔雀經》作俾（卑寐）禮多。
[Preta] Dharma Master Ying says: 'The correct term is *preta*, which translates as "ancestral ghost". Or it is called "hungry ghost"; the inferior ones among hungry ghosts.' In the *Mahāmāyūrī-sūtra* it is written as *preta* (with the pronunciation of beimei).
