【迦羅越】《大品經》中居士是也。《楞嚴》云：「愛談名言，清淨自居。」《普門疏》：「以多積財貨，居業豐盈，謂之居士。」鄭康成云：「道藝處士。」

【Gṛhapati】 This is the 'householder' (jushi) in the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra. The Śūraṅgama says: "Delighting in discussing principles and reputation, they reside quietly on their own." The Commentary on the Universal Gate says: "Because they accumulate much wealth and property and their residential occupation is abundant, they are called householders." Zheng Kangcheng says: "A scholar in retirement who possesses Dao and arts."
