【婆那】正言飯那，此云林，叢木曰林。《雜阿含》：「佛告阿難：『汝遙見彼青色叢林否？』『唯然已見。』『是處名曰優留曼荼山。如來滅後百歲，有商人子名曰優波掘多，當作佛事，教授師中，最為第一。』」

[Vana] Correctly pronounced *fanna*; this means "forest." A dense growth of trees is called a forest. The *Saṃyuktāgama* says: "The Buddha told Ānanda: 'Do you see that verdant grove in the distance?' 'Yes indeed, I have seen it.' 'This place is called Mount Urumuṇḍa. One hundred years after the Tathāgata's extinction, there will be a merchant's son named Upagupta who will perform Buddha-works, the foremost among preceptors.'"
