【畢利叉】亦名畢落叉，此云高顯。佛於下降誕，則為高勝；名顯天人，故曰高顯。《本行經》云：「是時摩耶夫人立地，以手執波羅叉樹枝，即生菩薩。」

[Vṛkṣa] Also called *biluoche* [plakṣa]; this means "tall and conspicuous." When the Buddha descended and was born beneath it, it was noble and supreme; its fame was conspicuous to gods and humans, hence it is called 'tall and conspicuous.' The *Lalitavistara* says: "At that time Queen Māyā stood on the ground, held a branch of the plakṣa tree with her hand, and immediately gave birth to the Bodhisattva."
