【波羅奢華】章安云：「此是樹名。其葉青色，華有三色：日未出時，則黑色；日正照時，華赤色；日沒時，華黃色。今取赤色如血義耳。」《經音義》云：「此華樹汁，其色甚赤，用染皮㲲，名曰紫礦（古猛切）。」

[Palāśa flower]: Zhang'an says: "This is the name of a tree. Its leaves are green, and its flowers have three colours: before the sun rises, they are black; when the sun shines directly, the flowers are red; when the sun sets, the flowers are yellow. Here it takes the meaning of being red like blood." The Jingyinyi says: "The sap of this flowering tree is deeply red in colour and is used to dye fine cotton cloth; it is called purple lac (pronounced gu-meng)."
