【阿濕摩揭婆】此云琥珀，其色紅瑩。《博物誌》云：「松脂入地千年，化為茯苓；茯苓千年，化為琥珀。」《廣誌》云：「生地中，其上及傍，不生草木。深者八九尺，大如斛，削去上皮，中是琥珀。」

[Aśmagarbha] Here translated as amber; its color is red and lustrous. The Bowu zhi states: 'When pine resin enters the earth for a thousand years, it transforms into tuckahoe (fuling); after another thousand years, tuckahoe transforms into amber.' The Guang zhi states: 'It is born in the earth; above and around it, no grass or trees grow. The deep ones are eight or nine chi down and as large as a bushel; scraping off the outer skin, the inside is amber.'
