【婆羅痆（女點）斯國】《西域記》云：「舊曰波羅柰，訛也。中印度境。」《婆沙》云：「有河名波羅柰，去其不遠，造立王城。」或翻江遶城，亦云鹿苑。

[Vārāṇasī] The Record of the Western Regions says: "Formerly called Boluonai, which is corrupt. It lies within the borders of Central India." The Mahāvibhāṣā says: "There is a river named Vārāṇā, not far from which the royal city was built." It is also translated as 'River Encircling the City', and also called 'Deer Park'.
