【脂那】《婆沙》二音：一云支那，此云文物國，即讚美此方，是衣冠文物之地也。二云指難，此云邊鄙，即貶挫此方非中國也。《西域記》云：「摩訶至那，此曰大唐。」

[Cīna] The *Vibhāṣā* gives two pronunciations: one says Zhina, which here means Country of Civilization, praising this land as a realm of robes, caps, and culture. The second says Zhinan, which here means Frontier Wilderness, disparaging this land as not being the Central Kingdom. The *Xiyu ji* says: “*Mahācīna*, here meaning the Great Tang.”
