五嶽鎮地，支那之書備焉；七金環山，天竺之典載矣。或作天龍窟宅，或為賢聖道場，翻譯既傳，名義當集。

The Five Sacred Peaks hold down the earth, fully recorded in the books of China; the seven concentric gold mountains encircle [Meru], documented in the scriptures of India. Some serve as the caves and dwellings of devas and dragons, while others serve as the bodhimaṇḍas of sages and saints. Since translations have been transmitted, their names and meanings should be compiled.
