【彌樓】有人謂，彌樓此云光明，七金山也，金色光明故。若準《第一義法勝經》云須彌樓山，則彌樓是須彌山舊譯。《俱舍》：「須彌亦云彌樓。」是則梵音有異。若據《法華》云：「內外彌樓山，須彌及鐵圍。」是則山體亦異。

[Meru] Some say that Meru is translated here as "Luminous," referring to the seven golden mountains because they shine with golden light. Yet if one follows the Supreme Dharmavijaya Sūtra which speaks of Mount Sumeru, Meru is an older translation of Mount Sumeru. The Kośa says: 'Sumeru is also called Meru.' Thus the Sanskrit pronunciation differs. If one relies on the Lotus Sūtra which says, 'The inner and outer Meru mountains, Sumeru and the Cakravāḍa,' then their mountain bodies are also distinct.
