一經藏、二律藏、三論藏。經藏則刊定因果，窮究性相。律藏則垂範四儀，嚴制三業。論藏則研真顯正，覈偽摧邪。同出一音，異隨四悉，用顯圓明之理，式開解脫之門，致立三藏之教也。

First, the Sūtra-piṭaka; second, the Vinaya-piṭaka; third, the Abhidharma-piṭaka. The Sūtra-piṭaka determines causes and effects, exhaustively investigating nature and characteristics. The Vinaya-piṭaka sets down models for the four bodily deportments, strictly regulating the three karmas. The Abhidharma-piṭaka investigates truth and manifests correctness, examining falsehood and crushing heresy. Arising together from a single sound, they vary according to the four siddhāntas, serving to reveal the perfectly luminous principle and opening the gateway to liberation—hence the establishment of the teachings of the Tripiṭaka.
