徽宗皇帝崇寧三年重午日，嘗迎請釋迦佛牙，入內祈求。舍利感應，隔水晶匣，出如雨點。神力如斯，嘉歎何已，因以偈贊：
On the fifth day of the fifth lunar month in the third year of the Chongning reign, Emperor Huizong once invited the tooth relic of Śākyamuni Buddha into the inner palace to pray. In response to the prayer, the śarīra passed through the crystal reliquary and fell out like raindrops. Such spiritual power was praised without end, and so he composed a gāthā in praise:
