【摩訶羅】此云無知。律中，阿難攝眾無法，迦葉訶言年少。阿難言：「我今頭白，何故名年少？」答云：「汝不善察，事同年少；老年愚法，豈不例之？」

[Mahalla] This is translated as ignorant. In the Vinaya, Ānanda had no method in managing the assembly, and Kāśyapa scolded him as a youth. Ānanda said: 'My hair is now white, why call me a youth?' He replied: 'You do not observe well, and your conduct is like a youth; how could an old person ignorant of the Dharma not be likened to this?'
