【梵壇】此云默擯，梵壇令治惡性車匿。《五分》云：「梵壇法者，一切七眾，不來往交言。若心調伏，為說《那陀迦旃延經》，令離有無，即入初果。」文見闡釋迦注。

[Brahmadanda] This is translated as silent expulsion (brahmadaṇḍa). The brahmadaṇḍa was ordered to discipline the evil-natured Chandaka. The Five-Part Vinaya says: 'As for the method of brahmadanda, none of the seven assemblies of disciples shall interact or converse with him. If his mind is subdued, one preaches the Katyāyana Sūtra to him, causing him to leave behind existence and non-existence, whereupon he enters the first fruit.'
