【阿提目多伽】《宗鏡》引《攝論》云：「苣勝本來是炭，多時埋在地中，變為苣勝。西方若欲作塗身香油，先以華香，取苣勝子，聚為一處，淹令極爛。後取苣勝壓油，油遂香也。」

[Atimuktaka]: The Zongjing lu, quoting the Mahāyānasaṃgraha, states: 'Sesame was originally charcoal; buried in the earth for a long time, it turned into sesame. In the Western regions, if they wish to make body-anointing fragrant oil, they first take the sesame seeds and gather them in one place with fragrant flowers, soaking them until completely macerated. Later they press the sesame for oil, and the oil accordingly becomes fragrant.'
