【林微尼】或流彌尼，或藍毘尼，或嵐毘尼，此云解脫處。亦翻斷，亦翻滅。《華嚴音義》翻樂勝圓光，由昔天女來，故立此名。新云藍軬（扶晚）尼，此云監，即上古守園女名。

【Lumbinī】 Also transcribed Linweini, Liumini, Lanbini, or Lanbini; translated here as 'place of liberation'. It is also translated as 'severance', and also as 'extinction'. The *Huayan yinyi* translates it as 'joyous, supreme, and round radiance', an appellation established because a goddess arrived there in the past. Newly transcribed as Lanbanni, which means 'overseer', which was the name of the female grove-keeper in ancient times.
