[Vipaśyin]: Also named Weiwei; here translated as Supreme Contemplation (Shengguan). The Abhidharmakośa says: "When the three incalculable kalpas were completed, in reverse order he encountered Shengguan, Dīpaṃkara, and Ratnaśikhin Buddha, and the initial Śākyamuni." This is because the World-Honoured Śākya first planted the marks and signs under Vipaśyin Buddha; thus Vipaśyin is the head of the seven Buddhas.
