[Pūraṇa Kāśyapa] Kumārajīva says: "Kāśyapa is the mother's surname; Pūraṇa is the personal name. This person generated wrong views, asserting that all dharmas do not exist, being like space, neither arising nor ceasing." Sengzhao says: "This person generated wrong views, asserting that all dharmas are annihilated and inherently empty, lacking the ways of ruler and minister, father and son, loyalty and filial piety." The Shichao states: "A non-Buddhist of form and emptiness, because non-Buddhists use form to refute the existence of desire, and use emptiness to refute the existence of form, asserting that emptiness is the ultimate."
