1.22

無常力甚大　愚智貧富貴　得道及未得
一切無能免　非巧言妙寶　非欺誑力諍
如火燒萬物　無常相法爾

“The power of impermanence is exceedingly great: / The foolish, the wise, the poor, the rich, the noble, / Those who have attained the Way and those who have not— / None can escape it. / Not by artful words or wondrous treasures, / Nor by deceit or forceful contention [can it be averted]; / Just as fire burns myriad things, / The mark of impermanence is naturally thus.”
