沙門佛陀扇多。此言覺定。北印度人。神悟聰敏內外博通。特善方言尤工藝術。以魏孝明帝正光六年歲次乙巳。至元象元年歲次戊午。於洛陽白馬寺及鄴都金花寺。譯金剛上味陀羅尼經（一卷）。如來師子吼經（一卷）。轉有經（一卷）。十法經（一卷）。銀色女經（一卷）。正法恭敬經（一卷）。無畏德女經（一卷）。無字寶篋經（一卷）。阿難多目佉尼訶離陀羅尼經（一卷）。攝大乘論（二卷）總一十部合一十一卷。

The śramaṇa Buddhaśānta, translated as "Awakened Tranquility", was a native of Northern India. His spiritual insight was astute and keen, and he was broadly conversant in both inner and outer learning. He was exceptionally skilled in dialects and particularly adept in the arts and sciences. From the sixth year of the Zhengguang era of Emperor Xiaoming of the Wei, the year yisi [525 CE], to the first year of the Yuanxiang era, the year wuwu [538 CE], at Baima Monastery in Luoyang and Jinhua Monastery in the capital of Ye, he translated: the Jingang shangwei tuoluoni jing (one fascicle), the Rulai shizihou jing (one fascicle), the Zhuan you jing (one fascicle), the Shifa jing (one fascicle), the Yinse nü jing (one fascicle), the Zhengfa gongjing jing (one fascicle), the Wuwei de nü jing (one fascicle), the Wuzi baoxie jing (one fascicle), the Anan duomuxu nihili tuoluoni jing (one fascicle), and the She dacheng lun (two fascicles)—altogether ten works, totaling eleven fascicles.
