沙門達摩摩提。此云法意。西域人。悟物情深隨方啟喻。以齊武帝永明八年歲次辛未。為沙門法獻於楊州瓦官寺。譯觀世音懺悔除罪呪經（一卷）。妙法蓮華經提婆達多品第十三（一卷）。

The śramaṇa Dharmamati—in Chinese, Fayi—was a native of the Western Regions. Profound in his responsiveness to beings, he adapted his instruction to circumstances. In the eighth year of the Yongming era of Emperor Wu of the Qi, the year xinwei [491 CE], he translated for the śramaṇa Faxian at Waguan Monastery in Yangzhou: the Guanshiyin chanhui chuzui zhou jing (one fascicle) and the Devadatta Chapter, the Thirteenth, of the Lotus Sūtra (one fascicle).
